We have been photographing weddings since 2010 and have come to learn the science behind making a wedding day run smoothly, creating a photo timeline that's efficient & ensuring our couples feel like they are relaxed and having fun and actually enjoying their day. We have a pretty great love story and fully believe that everyone is entitled to that same kind of love. Because of that, we take our jobs very seriously in that we want to make sure that you have images that share your great love story the way you envision. We want you to laugh, cry happy tears, share in emotional conversations & dance your heart out on your wedding day. What we don't want is for you to feel rushed and like you're constantly posed for a photo opp. It's our mission to treat your day as an adventure to be documented while still ensuring that you get those beautiful, dreamy images that you can hold onto for the rest of your lives. Our hope is when you see your photos displayed on your wall, that they will take you back to that day where everything was perfect just for a moment- and relish in that time. I've always said that if I had a superpower, it would be teleportation! With wedding photography, I get to do just that!

The first step in the wedding process is to simply reach out. We often work with clients who have unique needs and create custom packages for those needs. We love to go grab coffee and day dream about your perfect wedding adventure but if you're not local- a glass of wine or a coffee over Zoom is the next best thing. Face to face interaction helps us get to know you and you get to know us and the most important thing I could ever encourage a couple to do is book a photographer you connect with on a personal level. We may not be hired to be your BFF but we will be with you on the most important day, all day long & that's kind of a big deal--so it would be best to actually LIKE each other!
Step two begins when we have decided that we're a great fit, we've mapped out a game plan and agreed on the details. We'll draft a proposal for you to review which will give you a break down of everything included in your package, offers a payment plan and provides a contract for you to read and review. Once we get to this step, we will discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding legalities and then sign the contract. There is a $1000 non-refundable retainer which is taken out of the full balance owed. This retainer will save your date and ensure that we can no longer book any other clients on that day. Reschedules and cancellations will require written communication no later than 90 days before the wedding. Retainers are non-refundable but we do have flexibility for unforeseen events as well as Covid-19 related health issues and will work to reschedule your date as best as possible.
If you've booked a package with an engagement session included, then step three will be the engagement shoot. We'll pick a location that has some meaning to you if possible, meet up at the best time for lighting & we will get comfortable, have fun and create some memories together. This is a great opportunity for us to have a practice run together before the big day and see what works for you and what doesn't. We like to tell our couples that we direct- not pose. We basically don't want you looking at the camera unless we ask for a "mantle shot" (which is the one your moms and grandmas will inevitable print and put up on the mantle!) If you are not comfortable talking to your partner, laughing with your partner or cuddling with your partner-- we may not be the photographers for you. We love to cozy up and get REAL.
In order for a wedding day to run smoothly & time to be used efficiently, we must create a day of photo timeline. It's not uncommon for our client's to use this as the main timeline and share it with vendors and wedding planners so that they can plan their time around the photos. We send out a questionnaire about a month and a half before the wedding day. That way, you've had time to finalize your details & we can make a solid draft on the first go. Once we receive these answers, we'll create a mapped out photo timeline that will be available to download and share with anyone who may need it. We also ask for vendor details here as well so that we can share your images with your vendors and tag them appropriately on social media. If you keep a list of your vendors, feel free to send it to us!
Once the wedding day comes, we will have prepped our gear and finalized the timeline and will arrive to the venue about 30 minutes early to get our gear set up. We always start with the details to knock those out and then move to the final details as the couple gets ready to walk down the aisle. (Or mountain side!) Once the wedding is over, we move on to the reception and will photograph the grand entrance, your details and any guests who may be mingling or dancing. We don't ask every person for a photo-- but we're happy to take any photo requested! We also require that there is a break for the photographers to eat while the guests eat which helps us be available to photograph any important moments after everyone has eaten and prevents unflattering images of you or anyone else with their mouths full of food. No one likes a photo of them eating., right?
This is the moment you've waited for. The big reveal! We spend countless hours hand editing each and every image you receive and creating your visual story of the greatest adventure life can bring. Once your images are completed we will upload them to the online gallery in Pic-Time and with a click of a button, you'll receive your wedding photos! In the gallery you will have the option to download all of your images in full-resolution for print or web-sized for social media. Additionally, there will be the option to share the gallery with family, friends & guests and order prints and albums through an attached online shop where you can visualize your images on each and every item available. Once you've looked through & loved your images, we just ask that you send us a review on Google, Facebook or through the online gallery so more people can know that they too can have a great experience with us!
