First off, we're really just glad you're here. If you're reading this it probably already means that you're our people. We are a blended family of 4 with two kids and we love travel & photography. Micah and I are always down for an adventure and we kind of like story telling if you couldn't already tell. So, if you want us to help tell your story or you just want to read other's stories... Congrats! you're in the right place!
This post is one that is dear to my heart.
I do not know Meagan well so I can’t provide life long memories or an inside joke. What I can tell you though is that Meagan’s story touches my heart directly. Meagan is someone I find myself relating to on more than one level.
Meagan is a beautiful woman who is about to bring the most precious blessing to her life into the world. She has stared hardships and heartbreaks in the face and pushes through them with a hopeful heart for the future.
The verse that comes to mind when I think of Meagan is Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”
You see, regardless of what the situation is that any of us are in, when we claim the truth that God is stronger than our circumstance we can find the hope that God has given us for all the days of our lives.
Max Lucado wrote: “In God’s hands intended evil becomes eventual good”. Which comes from the scripture which says “As for you, You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result to save the lives of many.”- Genesis 50:20
You see, I relate so well to Meagan because not much longer than a year ago I was a young woman facing some of the most difficult decisions I ever had to make. I was a woman who’s sin was physically present, sticking out for the world to see. I was a woman who had to learn to forgive myself and accept God’s grace and cling to the truth that He was bigger than my sin. I had to believe that He had a plan. Whether I was to marry the father of my child or to take on the incredible task of becoming a single mother was a decision I had to make. Some women are not even given the option. Either the man bails or the parents force the marriage. Thankfully in my circumstance neither of those occurred, but for many, they occur far too often.
Meagan,
You are beautiful. You are worthy. You are strong. You need one man and one man only-God. You have a family and a support system that will forever be beside you. I am grateful that although I have only known you a short period of time, that I have gotten to be a part of whatever work God is doing in you and Konnor.
I hope to one day get to see the fruits of your lives.
Enough with the mush, here are the images.
