It’s almost been two years to the date since I first met Carlen & Andrew. I happened to meet someone from 5 Rivers today and it made me think back to this incredible engagement session on the Delta River. I met up with Carlen and Andrew early in the morning, we loaded up in two canoes, and we paddled out to these gorgeous fields of Lotus flowers. Carlen had just lost her father and the Lotus flowers became a symbol of hope- as they are one of the only species of flowers to be able to grow in the muck.

I decided today to re-edit this session and re-share it with you all in hopes to bring some hope into your lives and to tell Carlen and Andrew how thankful I am for letting me be in their lives during such a bittersweet time.

They now have an adorable baby girl and I had the honor of photographing her birth last year too.
