Bailey & her mom, Cynthia, contacted me a few months ago looking for a photographer for her December wedding. We decided to meet for coffee and talk through details and get to know one another and there was that instant “click”. Bailey and I joke that we are essentially the same person… (although her make up skill are WAY better than mine!) We connected over the mutual experience of being a “Preacher’s Kid” (PK) and our love for 90’s alt. music and Michael Buble. More importantly though, we discussed the wedding and her relationship with Nick.
Nick and Bailey are high school sweethearts & first loves. They have purchased their first home that they are (understandably) so proud of, they are dog-parents, and they can’t wait to start this new chapter of their lives. Nick is almost done with the Police Academy in Pensacola. and although Bailey is in school for Nursing, she has a passion for Make Up Artistry and I have been actively tagging her in referrals – so- if you guys are anywhere near the Florida/Alabama line and need a make-up artist, Bailey is your girl! (If you don’t believe me, just look at the photos. I did not touch her skin AT ALL!)
We chose to go to Fairhope for their engagement session because Bailey & Nick have been going there regularly for dates for years. We woke up early and planned a sunrise session and it. was. gorgeous. We started out on the bluffs overlooking the bay, made our way down to the banks to catch the sun coming up over the water, they took me to one of their secret spots complete with a rope swing, and then headed downtown to explore a little bit. My favorite part, though, was getting to introduce them to The Warehouse Bakery & Donuts! I mean, when a session ENDS with coffee and homemade donuts, you know it was good.
Bailey & Nick tie the knot in Historic Downtown Pensacola on December 16th and their reception is being held out at The Burch House (SO EXCITED) and I can’t wait! If they look THIS good now- just imagine how beautiful the wedding will be!
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this journey with you and for going from clients to friends! I am so excited and hopeful for you both! Come on, December!
Ps- each of these photos deserve to be viewed in their own spotlight, so, I am not doing collages for this post. Instead, you can scroll and view each of them one by one because they are just that good! 😉
